The Singleton is Diageo’s flagship single malt family, created to make single malt Scotch approachable without dumbing it down. Uniquely, The Singleton is not one distillery but three: Glen Ord in the Scottish Highlands (founded 1838), and Dufftown (1895) and Glendullan (1897) in the heart of Speyside. Each distillery bottles its own Singleton line with a distinct character, and different markets traditionally receive different lines, which is why the Glen Ord expressions are prized across Asia. The house style leans on slow distillation and long fermentation to build a signature smooth, fruity sweetness, with sherry and bourbon cask maturation layering in dried fruit and honeyed depth. All of it is produced under the strict single malt Scotch whisky rules documented by the Scotch Whisky Association: one distillery, malted barley only, pot stills, and a minimum of three years in oak in Scotland.

The most common question we get: which Singleton should I buy? Here is a practical guide by scenario.

For your first single malt: the Dufftown 12 Years at RM175 or the Glen Ord 12 Years at RM205 are the natural starting points. Both are soft, fruity, and completely free of the harsh edges that scare people off whisky. If you already know you like sherried flavours, the Glen Ord 12 Sherry Cask at the same RM205 is the pick.

For gifting: the Dufftown 15 Years at RM255 hits the sweet spot of a respected age statement at a sensible price. For a statement gift, the Glen Ord 18 Years at RM405 presents beautifully and drinks even better.

For value hunting: the Malt Master’s Selection at RM170 is the cheapest way into the family, and the 1L Glendullan Classic at RM265 gives you more pour per ringgit than any age-stated bottle in the range.

For collectors and enthusiasts: the Special Releases (Glen Ord 15 SR2022 at RM355, Glendullan 19 SR2021 at RM600) are cask-strength-style limited runs, while the Dufftown 21 Years (RM605) and 25 Years (RM1153) are the rare old-age statements. The bottle you receive is exactly what it says on the label.

Delivery is straightforward. Within the Klang Valley, we charge a flat RM25 and dispatch same day if your order is paid before 2PM on weekdays (Sundays and public holidays excluded). Beyond the Klang Valley, delivery is RM30 and typically takes two to five working days. Orders above RM1,250 ship free across Peninsular Malaysia. For new customers, your first order qualifies for 4% off (minimum RM500 spend, capped at RM200 discount), a decent saving if you are stocking up for a celebration or grabbing a few premium bottles.
